Disco Fun
What
an amazing night we had on Thursday. From 5 – 6 pm we had a Junior Disco in the hall. It was so much fun. Not everyone went to the disco, but those who
did really enjoyed the dancing, fizzy drink and chips. Here’s a few photos from the night.
Looking fresh-faced and ready to dance!

Life's A Stage!
What a
wonderful start to Term 4! Our immersion
assembly kept us all laughing, as we watched the teachers act and dance.
Our
theme this term is ‘Life’s a Stage’, and we’ll be exploring dance and drama
over the term.
Enjoy
Team One teacher’s movie.

Who Loves Honey??
Last term we learnt a lot about bees.
One thing we learnt was that honey is made by bees, and that they put a lot of work into making it. It's a bit gross....but did you know that once a bee gets back to the hive with nectar in its mouth, it vomits the nectar into another bee, and that bee vomits it into another bee....and so it goes on until one bee decides it's good to go into the hive. And then, because the nectar is still a bit to watery, the bees hover above the nectar, flapping their wings so fast that the water is evaporated. Bees are so very clever.

What
a fabulous first week of Term 3! Today,
after morning tea, we had a Hip Hop group called Royal Family perform for the
whole school. The group is going to
America next weekend to compete in the Hip Hop World Championships. We loved their energy, and hope they have a
successful time overseas.
On
Friday afternoon we had our first Jump Jam session of the term. We are learning to focus on following the instructions, and to have fun while we learn.

LIFE EDUCATION
After this morning’s assembly, Room 17 were the first class to go
and visit Lynne and Harold, the giraffe, at the Life Education bus.
Lynne and Harold are teaching us about healthy eating. Today we learnt where a lot of our food comes
from, and how we should be eating a lot of green food (from the ground), some orange food
(from animals), but just a little bit of red food (treat food from the shop). We will be following this session up in
class, as we investigate our lunchboxes, write about healthy food, and find our
more information about the food we eat.
